Battlefield Bad Company 2 Day 1 Map Pack

As Battlefield Bad Company 2 comes out next week, I'll tell you about the Day 1 map pack that is available to all players who purchase the game and apply their VIP code which comes with the game at no extra charge. The map pack contains two new maps which are the Rush map, Nelson Bay and the Conquest map, Laguna Alta which you can check out in the video now. The maps will be available from March 2nd which will allow the lucky North America players to get access and practice while us Europeans wait a few days more.

Later in March another map pack will be released containing Arica Harbor for Conquest and Laguna Presa for Rush

We have also preordered a 32slot server for a year! If you have any prefrences about game style or rules be sure to let us know asap.

Bad Company 2 Beta Info

When's the Beta
First, let's start by making the official time and date of the Beta the start of this Blog in what will be and EPIC moment in DICE's PC History! The PC Beta begins this Thursday, January 28th at approximately 6pm CET, 12pm EST, and 9am PST time!!!!!!! :-D

Where to Get It
The Client will be downloadable from server partner websites and Steam starting at the above listed time at a file size of 1.5GB. Here's a hyper-link reminder http://bit.ly/4GJk2a on which retailers will provide PC Beta access through pre-ordering.

Why we're Having a Beta
The Beta is happening for many reasons, like testing the infrastructure, hosting stability, and gameplay tuning (FOV, Weapon Balance, etc...) that no amount of internal testing could provide better than real world exposure. This means there will also be times of choppiness, lag, disconnects, CTDs or other issues a Beta version of any MP game would have. We'll have feedback methods similar to the PS3 Beta as well to ensure your input is gathered and heard.

Advanced warning: there will be things updated in the final game, like a Server browser with more functions, optimizations, performance tweaks, and learning's from the Beta.

This truly is a Beta, so remember that all feedback is appreciated and wanted! :-)

Hosting the Beta
Renting of Beta servers will not be possible, but we'll work closely with all our RSPs* to ensure there is always enough capacity for each individual regions.

Where to Download the Beta
We'll distribute with many partners as possible to ensure the fastest DLs no matter your location around the world. Current know locations and methods will be EADM, Steam, Torrents (only get this from legit sources, i.e. an RSP*), and all our RSP's.

Getting Started In the Beta

STEP 1: Make sure you have at least 5GB free on your HDD and then download and Install BFBC2! :-D

STEP 2: Once installation is completed (install size will be around 1.5GB) start the client and click the login button. You will then be prompted to sign in with your EA Account. If you don't have an EA Account you'll be able to create one in the same screen. (You may also create your EA Account in advance HERE)

STEP 3: Enter the unique PC Beta Code during the log in process to authenticate your participation in the Beta.

Step 4: Create your Soldier name (this will lock that name to your EA account for retail if you want to keep it).

Note: You will not be able to play or access any multiplayer menus without being authenticated. After the Beta Key is registered it will be tied to your EA Account and no longer valid for new registrations. Our game will use SecuROM for the Beta and Final games .exe, for more info on how SecuROM works in BFBC2 please read this Blog to learn about it in more detail.

TCC Season 3. Get ready to Rip em up!

The first week of gameplay is going to be the 25th of January! Right around the corner boys. We need to get some practice in. Those who practice get first choice on spots of for the actual matches seeing they put in the effort to show up. We are having a practice and Scrimmage on This Monday at 7pm EST/8 CST. Show up and we will start working through the first couple maps. We will be in talk in setting up the first weeks match for as soon as possible.

We still need everyones GUID for you to be able to play in the league. This is a must. I have had some from before but there are a few that we still need. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN THE SERVER WITHOUT YOU GUID SUBMITTED. To check and to make sure its in correctly, Join attempt to join a TCC server. If you GUID isnt in there you will not be able to stay and will be auto-kicked. Even if you know i have it, it will be wise to make sure you can get in and play before the season starts to avoid any trouble on game day.

To figure out your GUID:
Step 1: Connect to a PunkBuster-enabled CoD4 server.
Step 2: Open your console (by default the ` key - otherwise check your control settings).
Step 3: Type /pb_myguid into the console window (full 32-digit GUID). We need all 32 digits. the 8 digit version doesn't work for our needs.
Step 4: Your CoD4 PunkBuster GUID will be shown, it is the key with GUID= in front.
Step 5: Send your GUID to Trick for submission.

Welcome

Well first off we hope you had a great holiday season. Now its time for most of us to settle in for the cold months.

As you can see we have a new website up and rolling. This site is a much more functional site and has many benefits over the others we have had in the past. This will allow us to have other members make changes, the ones we select as admins and give accounts to, to everything from posting updates and updating the members list to creating new blocks and surveys. If you are interested in any of these or have any problems with the new site feel free to let us know.

One major thing that went down was the Camanche Clan had a merger with a COD4 clan a few of us had a part in. This of course would be ]V[ or 5th Column Clan. They will be representing us in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and in the Tactical Clan Competition league for Season 3 which starts up here in a few weeks. In that I would like to welcome the following to hell! Welcome Kiel, Redrum, UubeNubeh, Deathstriker, Nothanks, A.Bullet, and FearitSelf. That makes 7 new members and counting.

TCC season 3 is underway. Sign ups closed, an ideal map rotation is being worked out. We will have the team captains chosen in the next day and more details to what is instore for us this season. One major difference this season is that we are required to turn in ALL GUIDs for members. If you do not have a GUID turned in, you will not be able to join a TCC server. So if you have not done so already, give Trick you GUID so it can be put on the TCC site for you able to play. To get directions on how to get your GUID this site gives you good directions:

Bad Company 2 is coming out here in the beginning of march. Looks bad ass and figured I would let you know. Its a battlefield game and if you preorder through EA online or Gamestop online, you will be able to join in the beta at the end of January which lasts up until about a week before the actual game ships. First off, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ALL FROM CAMANCHE CLAN! The Holiday season is apon us and that mean you all need to send in all your presents to the Camanche Gift foundation to Trick! This was a requirement for all members! Hope you all have a great season. Teamspeak 3 is apon us as well. The client/server is in the beta stage with loads of features and better quality codecs. There are too many new features to list so head over to teamspeak.com to check it out. We have a temp. server set up, IP listed on your Left, for our member to enjoy until we get rented server to replace our teamspeak 2 server. This will help our member get set up and prepare for the switch when the time comes. I have also made a TS3 theme for Camanche which can be found in the download section along with both windows versions of TS3(beta2) for your download convienience. We have also promoted a few members this last week up a few ranks. Check out the Rank pages to find out if you were one of the lucky few.

December Update

Wow. Modern Warfare 2 is out, members are joining, members are leaving, and salaries are raised. First, let's start with new meat. Camanche Clan would first like to welcome our new members. PrinceOzzyD, Me+Myself+I, Mr. Buttercup (Butters), and Bowsah, we'd like to welcome you to the Clan and hope to see you on the battlefield. Welcome to Hell.

We'd also like to say goodbye to one of our members than have been with us for a long time. Ghost, it was great to have you with us. Good luck.

Finally, the most awaited game of the year has finally arrived. Modern Warfare 2 has sold 4.7 [i]million[/i] dollars worth of copies, which makes a new record.Promotion, the one thing everyone loves. The Camanche staff would like to congratulate the promoted members, and congratulations to CC>>Trick and CC>>Flintdog with their promotions to General.Also, restrictions are being lightened to allow more of a variety of new recruits able to join. So start applying!
