seems pretty good, but is that a integrated or stand alone graphics card? is the ram for it dedicated or shared?

if your budget allows, I'd up the ram as well and go for a higher end video card, such as a GeForce GTX 260...

8gs of ram may be overkill and unnecessary (depending on what your doing). Either 4 or 6 should be sufficient for most needs. With the money saved from that, in addition to scaling the card back to the default GeForce G310, think about getting the GTX260 as a separate purchase, not from Dell (I don't think they sell that card anyway). The performance gains trump the 240 and has gotten many good reviews. I think ultimately you'll be disappointed with the 240. Keep in mind, selecting a video card depends on how much quality you decide to turn your games up to as well as your monitor size.

I have the GTX 260 with 6 gigs of ram (which is why I'm so preferential to the card :D )

So far in the beta of Bad Company 2, the game has run flawlessly with everything turned up. I have the i7 920 processor which also helps.

Mind you, having good hardware won't make you an awesome player...heck look at Trick  (here it comes....)
